Cholera is a very infectious disease that, in most cases, produces the animal’s death.
Cholera symptoms are the following: canary displays excessive thirst, opens its beak widely in desperation (as if gasping for air), and presents bloodstained diarrhea.
Upon any of these symptoms it is essential to turn to a veterinary urgently. At the same time, and as prevention it is essential to disinfect every cage to avoid other canaries from being infected.
