Bird breeds are many and they thrive in various distinct places. They are not easy to distinguish unless you have a good way of classifying them. The alphabetical classification is great and simplifies the bird’s classification. The letter ‘R’ of the alphabet comprises of many birds as listed below: Red-Breasted Nuthatch - Has this name because of a red colored chest. These birds have their unique ways of communication. This is very important in their social life. The communications happens in various circumstances. When these birds are in the mating season, the females produce certain sounds to attract the males. Red-Winged Blackbird has a wing red in color. The birds supplement their high metabolic rates during the day by resting over long duration of time. The sleeping birds often use a unique type of sleep commonly referred to as the vigilant sleep. This is displayed with periods of eye opening when the birds are asleep. It is like adapting for survival in detection of any predators from time to time. Ring-billed Gull - This species has common mating systems. The mating systems include polygyny, polygamy, polygynandry, polyandry or the promiscuity system.
