Caprimulgidae

The family Caprimulgidae is the largest in the order Caprimulgiformes. Their full body size from head to tail measure between 6 to 16 inches (15 to 40 cm). They are light in weight and measure 0.7 to 6.6 oz (20 to 188 grams).

This is an order of birds with similar characteristics. The birds making this order are mainly nocturnal and as such have a very powerful vision to aide them hunt for food at night.

This is a fairly large order of birds consisting of fowls that range from small, medium to large birds. It has some evenly distributed world wide 350 number of species. Their livelihoods depend so much on water and as such mostly live near water bodies.

The Waders are birds that belong in the order Charadriiformes and their name means they move in water every so often. They have webbed feet that enhances their motion in water while hunting for fish and other offshore feeds.

This is a large family of birds that is composed of more than 120 bird species. Among the most outstanding members of this species are the cuckoos, the anis and the roadrunners. The pheasant cuckoo measures around 13 cm, the roadrunners measure 56cm on average while the anis, which is sometimes referred to as black cuckoo coz of its black plumage, measure an average of 46cm.

This is a small group of animals that has only 30 bird species which are spread out in 11 genera. They are broadly classified into three subcategories which are the Guans, Chachalacas and Curassows. They look like the turkey and the pheasants
