SPECIAL NEEDS Sudden change in diet could lead to changes in bacterial population within gut, which could precipitate fatal bout of entero-toxaemia. During winter, house inside, at about 75°F(24°C).
CAGE LIFE Gentle, playful with harsh voice. Best in pairs. Once acclimatized, can be kept in outdoor aviary. Roosts in nest box 14 X 14 X 18 inches (35 X 35 X 45cm), entrance diameter 3V2 inches (9cm). Lays 2 eggs, incubation 23 to 25 days by female, male sleeps next to her at night, fledging 90 days, fed by both parents another 2 to 3 weeks.
